Services & Policies

1. Service Area

Service is currently available in Indianola, Iowa only, unless another location is specifically discussed and agreed upon in advance.

2. Appointment Required

All visits must be scheduled and agreed upon in advance. Contact is available by phone or email, with phone calls preferred.

3. Animals Accepted

Care is limited to:

• Leopard geckos
• Other geckos
• Bearded dragons
• Turtles

4. In-Home Care

Garrett Goben will come to the owner's home to provide routine care for the agreed-upon animals. The service is intended for basic pet-sitting and routine care while the owner is away.

5. Food & Supplies

The owner is responsible for providing enough food, supplements, water, enclosure supplies, and other necessary care items for the agreed service period.

If food or necessary supplies are not available and a purchase is requested, the additional cost must be agreed upon with the owner before the purchase is made.

6. Feeding & Routine Care

Care will be provided according to the owner's instructions and the animal's established routine. Reasonable efforts will be made to feed the animal properly, provide fresh water, and check the enclosure and animal during each visit.

7. Health, Injury, Illness, and Death

Garrett Goben's responsibility is to provide reasonable routine care during the scheduled visit. He will do his best to properly care for the animal and follow the owner's instructions.

The owner understands that reptiles and turtles can become ill, injured, escape, or die for reasons that may be outside the pet sitter's control, including pre-existing health conditions, natural causes, age-related issues, enclosure/equipment failures, or other unforeseen circumstances.

This policy is not intended to excuse negligence or intentional misconduct. The owner remains responsible for providing appropriate housing, equipment, food, and care instructions.

8. Emergency Situations

If an animal appears seriously ill or injured, the owner will be contacted as soon as reasonably possible. If emergency veterinary care is necessary and the owner has authorized it, the pet sitter may assist with contacting or transporting the animal as agreed. Veterinary bills remain the owner's responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.

9. Home Access & Safety

The owner is responsible for providing safe and lawful access to the home and for communicating any alarm, lock, parking, or entry instructions. Garrett Goben may decline a visit if conditions are unsafe or access cannot be reasonably provided.

By booking a visit, the owner acknowledges the service terms above, confirms that the animal information and care instructions provided are accurate, and understands the current pricing and insurance disclosure.
